Launched in 1990, the Diablo (meaning “devil” in Spanish) supercar was the first Lamborghini to exceed 320 Km/h. It replaced the legendary Countach. Speed limits of the Diablo tested by rally driver Sandro Munari revealed a 340 km/h figure on the Nardo test track.
The Lamborghini Diablo model styling was left in the hands of the capable Marcello Gandini, who had already shaped the Miura and Countach models. Like the Countach, it was based on a tubular chassis, with the hugely powerful V12 engine mounted longitudinally behind the two-seater cabin.
Power came from a 5.7L, 48-valve engine version of existing Lamborghini V12. DOHC and computer controlled fuel injection produced a staggering 492 hp for the Diablo. This enabled the vehicle to reach a top speed of 325 km/h and go from zero to 100 Km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
Standard features were not too many on the car and included adjustable seats, adjustable steering wheel, electric windows, and an Alpine stereo system. From 1993, servo assisted steering was added. The client could add optional equipment to the car in the form of a custom molded driver’s seat, remote CD changer, subwoofer, factory fitted luggage set and an outrageous priced Breguet clock for 10,000$.
In 1993 the VT version of the Diablo was introduced. Most important addition on the VT was its 4-wheel drive transmission.
1994 saw two special editions being launched to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary. The Diablo SE30 had 523 hp and the even more special SE30 Jota that had a massive 595 hp. Only 23 Jota units were produced in kit form.
Production ended in 1998 when the Diablo was replaced by Murcielago.

The present car presents only 11881 Km on board.
