Dedicated to just 499 Ferrari collectors, the 458 Speciale Aperta, based on the 458 Speciale Coupé, is the most powerful spider in Prancing Horse history.
The 458 Speciale Aperta sports the most powerful naturally-aspirated road-going V8 engine ever built by Ferrari. The three international ”Best Performance Engine” awards the V8 has won are acknowledged on a special plaque in the cockpit. The car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and has a Fiorano lap of 1’23”5.
A series of innovative and original bodywork solutions has made the 458 Speciale Aperta the most aerodynamically efficient Ferrari spider ever.
In keeping with Ferrari tradition the body was designed by Pininfarina. The car’s exterior styling and features were designed for aerodynamic efficiency. The interior was designed using input from former Ferrari Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher; in a layout common to racing cars, the new steering wheel incorporates many controls normally located on the dashboard.
