The F-Series is a series of full-size pickup trucks, which has been sold continuously for over six decades. It has been the best-selling vehicle in the United States of America for the past 32 years, the best-selling pick-up for 43 years, and the best-selling vehicle in Canada. In 1965, the F-Series was given a significant mid-cycle redesign. A completely new chassis, including the Twin-I-Beam front suspension, was introduced that would be used until 1979.

Ford introduced a dramatically new style of pick-up in the 1961 F-Series fourth-generation models (F-100, F-250, F-350). Longer and lower than the previous pick-ups, these trucks had increased dimensions and new engine and gearbox choices. Additionally, the 1961-1963 models were constructed as a uni-body design with the cab and bed integrated. This proved unpopular and the F-Series reverted to a traditional separate cab/bed design in 1964.
In 1965, the F-Series was given a significant mid-cycle redesign. A completely new chassis, including the Twin-I-Beam front suspension, was introduced that would be used until 1979. Two-wheel drive F-100 and F-250 trucks received the new Twin I-Beam suspension, while the beefier F-350 soldiered on with the single I-Beam front axle. Four-wheel drive was available on F-100 and F-250 models, while Styleside and Flareside beds were available across the line. In addition to the top of the line Ranger, the Standard and the Custom were the only other F-Series trim levels.
In 1965, the 300 cubic inches (4.9 liters) 170hp straight six engine was introduced along the already known 240 cubic inches (3.9 liters) 150hp straight 6 engine. The 300 six engine would remain in the F-Series lineup until the end of the 1996 model year. Another introduction was the 208-hp 352 cubic inches (5.8 liters) V8, whose output surpassed 200 hp in the F-Series for the first time.
A similar model was used in “The Chase”, a 1966 drama, starring Marlon Brando, Jane Fonda, and Robert Redford.
This car has covered 77,537 km.
