Full-size Chevrolets have always appealed to local and state police departments in the USA, because of their generous interior room. By the end of the 1980s, the Chevrolet Caprice, in use of the American Police, did not have the power needed for high-speed pursuit work, so in 1991 Chevrolet introduced the “Special Service Package” for the Camaro Z28. This particular car is one of 310 police cars built in 1995.
Introduced in 1993, the fourth-generation Camaro retained the same characteristics since its launch back in 1967: 2 doors, 2+2 seats, available as a coupe with optional “T-Top” roof or convertible.
The new car could be equipped with engines ranging from 3.4L V6 with 160 hp to 5.7L V8 with 325 hp, coupled to a 4-speed automatic, 5-speed or 6-speed manual transmission.
Also, in 1993, the Camaro was chosen as the official pace car for the Indianapolis 500 race. Chevrolet produced 633 special edition “Indy 500” cars.

The “B4C” special service package included high performance rear axle, 16’’ wheels, 4-wheel disc brakes, engine oil cooler, heavy duty alternator and battery and a limited slip differential.
